Pitfalls which can shake the strength of Proposal’s Impression

There are certain reasons or pitfalls in your proposal that can let your impression down in front of the contracting officer(s), taking explicit care of these deficiencies can minimize the chances of absolute failure. These are as follow
Your proposal is not complying with the instructions mentioned in RFP like
· Organization of the proposal and flow of the content presentation.
· Format of Sections and Subsections
· Mandatory Information Requirements
· Specifications regarding Fonts’ family, size and color etc.
· Specifications regarding number of pages
· Deadline (in terms of Date and Time) for submission.
· Proposal Evaluation Criteria ( The criteria mentioned explicitly for grading of the proposal) if mentioned in the RFP
· Problems’ domain knowledge explanation
· Expected solution designs requirements
· Presentation of complete solution development life cycle (how and whom will carry out what).
· Reasonable financial and time estimations
· Distribution and proper break down of financial and time estimations to the minute possible level
· Clearly stated and described methodologies to complete the requirements mentioned in RFP.
· Professional look and feel in terms of proposal presentation and draft quality.
· Well defined project management methodology and practices to be followed to complete the job.
· Proper presentation of Bidding Organization’s experience, technical and financial strengths with verifiable success stories in tackling problems and jobs of similar/relevant nature and magnitude.

These above mentioned compliance factors should be seriously taken into consideration while planning, drafting and reviewing the proposals. Ignorance in these areas can cause loosing the specific project but can give the negative outlook of your organization’s image.
